Adriel

Adriel is the Operations Manager of Mysore Breathing Room, supporting the studio through the many details that happen behind the scenes. A long-time yoga practitioner, he relies on yoga’s mindfulness to stay grounded and on asana to keep his body resilient through long hours of seated work.

He began practicing yoga in college and came to recognise its essential role after entering the legal profession. This led him to annual journeys to India, where his studies have included pranayama with B.N.S. Iyengar, bhakti under Santosh Kumar of Yogadarshanam, and asana with teachers such as Bharath Shetty and Vinay Kumar. He first studied the Yoga Sutras with Professor Nagaraja Rao in Mysore. Adriel is an E‑RYT 500 and also holds certifications in Ayurvedic Medicine and Marma Therapy.

After meeting Sita in 2014, his practice deepened through traditional apprenticeship in Ashtanga yoga. Embracing the Mysore method, he has since studied with Sharath Jois and continues his learning in Advaita Vedanta under Arvind Parre.

With academic training in commerce, law, and psychological science, Adriel now focuses on integrating ancient wisdom with modern psychology to better understand human potential and the inner workings of the mind.
