Wei Yang

Wei Yang is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher and a dedicated Ashtanga practitioner who has been practicing regularly at the Mysore Ashtanga Shala for the past three years. His steady, committed practice shapes the way he teaches and shows up in the shala. At Mysore Breathing Room Shala, he also teaches the weekly Ashtanga Half Led Primary class, where he enjoys guiding students through the rhythm and structure of the traditional Primary Series.

 

Passionate about body functioning and strength building, Wei Yang is genuinely curious about how the body moves, adapts, and grows stronger over time. He’s especially interested in sharing what he’s learned through his own practice, offering students practical insights and encouragement along the way. His classes focus on breath, consistency, and building strength from the inside out, while keeping the practice approachable and grounded.

 

Outside of yoga, Wei Yang works as a certified personal trainer in both gym and home settings. This background supports his understanding of functional movement and safe, sustainable strength work. When he’s not teaching, you’ll find him training hard, eating well, and enjoying the balance he encourages others to cultivate.
